A luxury wine tasting event, hosted by Liverpool-based wine merchants, Pruno Wines, has taken place in the sumptuous surroundings of an outdoor heated yurt in heart of the city’s Georgian Quarter.
Over 50 guests joined the Pruno team at the event held in the gardens of the Free State Kitchen to enjoy a broad range of fine wine samples, mulled wine and snacks.
Representatives from the Viyuela estate and Casa la Rad Bodegas estate in Rioja mingled with guests keen to learn more about the wines, their cultivation and heritage. Also on hand where specialists from Cava, representing one of Spain’s oldest estates as well as producers of the world’s strongest gin, Gin 77.
Sean Millar, Sommelier at Pruno Wines commented: “This was a fantastic event that was really well attended. We were able to share the story and background of our wines first hand with representatives from the vineyards who are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about their produce.”
Sean added: “Throughout the day, people were able to pop in and out and enjoy samples of our favourite tipples at their leisure in the wonderful surrounding of this outdoor yurt. There was a strong mix of commercial and private clients interested in our selections, many of whom we look forward to working with and supplying in the future.”
